Mike joined Gladstone in March 2005 as an Associate. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was an Analyst for MCG Capital from June 2001 to March 2005. Mr. Beckett earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University in 1993. Mr. Beckett is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.

Mr. Bowie joined Gladstone in October 2004 as an Associate. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was an Associate in Citigroup's Global Corporate and Investment Bank in New York from August 2003 to September 2004. Prior to Citigroup, he flew the S-3B Viking aircraft for the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer from 1994-2001. Mr. Bowie has an MBA from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business and a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.

Mr. Brubaker has been Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer since April 2004. Previously, he was our President and Chief Operating Officer since May 2001. Beginning in March 1999, Mr. Brubaker was a founder, and past Chairman of Heads Up Systems, a company providing process industries with leading edge technology. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Brubaker served as Vice President of the paper group for the American Forest & Paper Association. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. Brubaker served as President of Interstate Resources, a pulp and paper company. From 1991 to 1992, Mr. Brubaker served as President of IRI, a radiation measurement equipment manufacturer. From 1981 to 1991, Mr. Brubaker held several management positions at James River Corporation, a forest and paper company, including Vice President of Strategic Planning from 1981 to 1982, Group Vice President of the Groveton Group and Premium Printing Papers from 1982 to 1990 and Vice President of Human Resources Development in 1991. From 1976 to 1981, Mr. Brubaker was Strategic Planning Manager and Marketing Manager at Boise Cascade. Previously, Mr. Brubaker was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from 1972 to 1976. Mr. Brubaker holds a MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and a BSE from Princeton University.

Ms. Bullard joined The Gladstone Companies in March 2011. She currently serves as a Legal & Compliance Specialist. Prior to that, she worked as a Paralegal at Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC. Ms. Bullard received a BA in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Dartmouth.

Mr. Cooper has been a Managing Director or Principal since June 2001. From 1986 to 2000, Mr. Cooper served as a Senior Vice President or Principal of Allied Capital Corporation and its affiliate funds. At Allied Capital, Mr. Cooper was responsible for identifying, sourcing, underwriting, managing, financing and servicing all forms of commercial real estate. During his time at Allied Capital, Mr. Cooper also administered an investment portfolio of over $250 million. Mr. Cooper holds a BA from Washington and Lee University.

Mr. Daniel joined The Gladstone Companies in July 2011. He currently serves as a Managing Director in our Los Angeles, CA office focusing on debt and equity investments in privately held companies. Mr. Daniel has extensive experience in sourcing, structuring, negotiating and managing debt and equity transactions for middle market companies. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Daniel was a Managing Director of Churchill Financial Group, a $2 billion commercial finance company providing capital to middle market companies. Prior to this, Mr. Daniel was a Managing Director of Praesidian Capital, a $160 million private fund focused on mezzanine investing and was a Principal of Windjammer Capital Investors, a $800 million family of private funds focused on mezzanine and equity investing. Earlier in his career Mr. Daniel worked in the leveraged buyout finance group of Citicorp Securities and was a consultant for Kenneth Leventhal and Company (now Ernst & Young) in the management services group. Mr. Daniel has been active on numerous private company boards and is currently Chairman of a third party logistics company and a Director of an automotive emissions testing company. Mr. Daniel received a BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and obtained an MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at UCLA.

Mr. Dellafiora joined Gladstone in September 2007 as Chief Compliance Officer. Previously, Mr. Dellafiora held management roles in regulatory compliance, financial and operational risk management, financial reporting, and enterprise data management with Fannie Mae. Prior to that he lead attestation engagements for BDO Seidman where he worked on a diverse set of client industries. Mr. Dellafiora has also provided strategic and financial services for an alternative energy developer. Mr. Dellafiora is a MBA from the University of Maryland 's Smith School of Business and a CPA with a BBA in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame.

Mr. Dullum joined The Gladstone Companies in February 2008. He currently serves as President of Gladstone Investment corporation and Senior Managing Director focusing on debt & equity investments. Mr. Dullum has extensive experience in equity investing and middle market buyouts.

Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Dullum was a General Partner of a Chicago based Frontenac Company, from 1976 to 1990. He currently serves as a General Partner of New England Partners, a Boston based private equity fund. Mr. Dullum was also the President and Director of Harbor Acquisition Corp., a Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation listed on AMEX. Mr. Dullum is a former member of the Board of Governors and the Chairman of the National Association of Small Business Companies (NASBIC) and a Trustee of the Stanford Business School Trust. Mr. Dullum received a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BME from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Mr. Earl joined Gladstone in December 2005 as an Analyst. Prior to joining Gladstone, he served as a telecommunications engineer in WorldCom's Internal Requirements group from December 1999 to November 2002. Mr. Earl earned his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and holds a BA in History from The College of William and Mary.

Ms. Enriquez joined The Gladstone Companies in March 2011 as a Legal & Compliance Specialist. She received a BA in History and Political Science from Pepperdine University.

Mr. Flickinger joined Gladstone in April 2011 as an Associate. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was a Vice President in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Real Estate Investment Banking group from March 2006 to March 2011. Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, he was a Senior Analyst in the Transaction Consulting Group at Cushman & Wakefield. From 2001 to 2004, he was an Associate in Alliance Capital Management’s fixed income department. Mr. Flickinger earned an MBA from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration and a BBA from James Madison University.

Mr. Freal joined the firm in February 2002 from American Capital Strategies, where he was a Managing Director. From 1995 through 1997 he was a private investor and financial consultant. From 1989 to 1995, Mr. Freal was President of RDS Capital Partners, a private merchant banking company that he co-founded to acquire middle-market commercial and industrial companies. Prior to founding RDS, he was employed by several Washington D.C. area and Philadelphia banks as a Loan Officer providing general corporate and buyout financing to middle-market and national companies. Mr. Freal received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business from George Mason University.

Mr. Frisbie joined the firm as an Associate in June 2006. Prior to joining Gladstone, he served as a Financial Analyst in the Treasury Department at American Capital Strategies, Ltd from 2000 to 2004. Mr. Frisbie received his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 2006 and his BA from the University of Virginia in 1999.

Mr. Gertmenian joined Gladstone in July 2005. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Gertmenian worked as a financial Analyst in J.P. Morgan's Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group from 2003 to 2005, where he provided advisory services to both public and private companies. In 2002, he joined J.P. Morgan's Middle Market Financial Sponsors Group. Mr. Gertmenian holds a BSBA with a concentration in finance from Georgetown University where he graduated Cum Laude.

Mr. Gladstone is the founder of Gladstone Capital Corporation, Gladstone Commercial Corporation and Gladstone Investment Corporation and has been our Chief Executive Officer since inception. From August 1997 to August 2001, Mr. Gladstone served as Chairman or Vice Chairman of American Capital Strategies, a publicly-traded leveraged buyout fund and mezzanine debt finance company. From 1974 to February 1997, Mr. Gladstone held various positions, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, with Allied Capital Corporation, Allied Capital Corporation II, Allied Capital Lending Corporation, Allied Capital Commercial Corporation and Allied Capital Advisors Inc. The Allied companies were the largest group of publicly-traded mezzanine debt funds and were managers of two private venture capital limited partnerships. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Gladstone served as a Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Business Mortgage Investors, a private mortgage REIT managed by Allied Capital. Mr. Gladstone served as a Director of The Riggs National Corporation (the parent of Riggs Bank) from 1993 to May 1997 and of Riggs Bank from 1991 to 1993. He has served as a Trustee of The George Washington University and currently is a Trustee Emeritus. He is a past member of the Listings and Hearings Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. He is a past member of the Advisory Committee to the Women's Growth Capital Fund, a venture capital firm that finances women-owned small businesses. Mr. Gladstone was the managing member of The Capital Investors, a group of angel investors, and is currently a member Emeritus. He is also the Chairman and owner of Gladstone Land Corporation a private land holding company in California. Mr. Gladstone is also a past Director of Capital Automotive REIT, a real estate investment trust. Mr. Gladstone holds a MBA from the Harvard Business School, a MA from American University and a BA from the University of Virginia. Mr. Gladstone has co-authored two books on financing for small and medium sized businesses, Venture Capital Handbook and Venture Capital Investing published by Prentice Hall.

Ms. Gladstone has been with The Gladstone Companies since August 2001. She serves as a Managing Director of our New York office where she works with our mezzanine debt and syndicated loan team.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gladstone worked as an Associate in equity research at ING Barings, where she was responsible for covering companies in the telecommunications industries. Ms. Gladstone also worked for Salomon Smith Barney as an Assistant Analyst in equity research and HSBC, an international bank, as an analyst in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received her BBA from The George Washington University. She is the co-author of two books on lending to small business: Venture Capital Handbook and Venture Capital Investing, both published by Prentice Hall.

Mr. Goldstein joined Gladstone in September 2010. Prior to joining Gladstone, he worked in New York as an Analyst in the Leveraged Finance group for The Royal Bank of Scotland where he focused on management of leveraged loan and equity positions across various industries. Mr. Goldstein earned a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Georgetown University where he graduated Cum Laude.

Ms. Highland joined Gladstone as an Associate in August 2005. Prior to joining Gladstone, she was an Account Executive at Wells Fargo Retail Finance where she was responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of senior secured loans to national and regional retail chains. From July 2001 through June 2003, she worked as a financial Analyst in A.G. Edwards' Investment Banking Division. Ms. Highland holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston College.

Ms. Jones joined our firm in July 2004. Prior to joining Gladstone, Ms. Jones served as a Corporate Accountant for AvalonBay Communities, Inc. Ms. Jones has also worked for American Express Tax & Business Services. Ms. Jones is a CPA with the Commonwealth of Virginia and holds a BBA from James Madison University.

Ms. Keene joined Gladstone as our Portfolio Management Coordinator in 2002. Her background includes diverse experience in business management and sales most recently with Xerox Corporations and she co-founded and managed Virginia's 41st winery. She holds a Master's Degree from George Washington University.

Mr. Kimbrough joined Gladstone in September 2008 and opened a Richmond office for the firm. With 30 years' experience in operations, management consulting, and M&A transactions, he concentrates on portfolio management. Prior to joining the firm he was a Managing Director of Windward Advisors, an investment banking firm and advisor to lower middle-market companies. Before Windward, Mr. Kimbrough spent eight years as a management consultant to process manufacturing companies as President of Heads Up Systems. He was President of Alliance Agronomics, an agriculture consulting and services firm, from 1996-1998. Prior to Alliance he was Vice President and Group Executive of the Consumer Specialties Division of James River Corporation, a paper manufacturer where he served in various capacities over 15 years, including responsibility for Corporate Development. He began his career in production at a family-owned manufacturing firm. He received his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and his BS from Tufts University.

Mr. Kowalski joined Gladstone in August 2006 as an Associate. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was a Manager in Capital One's Treasury Strategy group from August 2003 to July 2006. Prior to Capital One, he was an investment banking Associate in the Consumer/Retail group at Banc of America Securities from August 2001 to April 2003. From 1994 to 1998, he was a Consultant with Price Waterhouse's Management Consulting Services group. Mr. Kowalski earned an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BSE in Civil Engineering and Operations Research from Princeton University.

Mr. Kranbuhl joined The Gladstone Companies in March 2005. He currently serves as a Director in our McLean, VA Headquarters focusing his efforts on debt and equity investments in healthcare services, business services, and industrial products and services companies for the Gladstone Investment and Gladstone Capital funds.

Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Kranbuhl worked for Petra Capital Partners in Nashville, TN providing private equity and debt capital to growth companies throughout the United States. While at Petra, Mr. Kranbuhl worked for Wheat First Butcher Singer in Richmond, VA as an analyst in the investment banking division, where we structured and completed mergers and acquisitions as well as equity and convertible debt offerings. Mr. Kranbuhl also served as a summer associate for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation where he worked in the project finance group providing debt capital for global expansion projects of United States-based corporations.

Mr. Kranbuhl earned a BA from Duke University and received his MBA from the University of Michigan Business School.

Kyle joined Gladstone in November 2006. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was a Vice President for National Capital, an investment bank providing M&A advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses. In 2003, Kyle served as an Associate Analyst in the Research group at Friedman Billings Ramsey. Kyle received an MBA from Georgetown University and a BSBA from the University of Tulsa, and is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Lee joined Gladstone as a Principal in January 2008. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was a Vice President with MCG Capital where he was a debt and equity investor in middle-market companies across industry platforms, with a focus on telecommunications and publishing and including origination/underwriting and Board advisory roles. Prior to his work at MCG Capital, Mr. Lee worked as a Consultant with KPMG Consulting (now BearingPoint) from 1993 to 1998 where he performed cost accounting studies for state and local government clients. Mr. Lee earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.

Mr. LiCalsi has been our Internal Counsel since October 2009. A graduate of the George Mason University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the George Mason Law Review from 2004-2005. Mr. LiCalsi is currently a member of the Virginia State Bar and District of Columbia Bar. Before joining the Gladstone Companies, Mr. LiCalsi served as an Associate Attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of Baker Botts L.L.P., a multinational law firm. From 1996 to 2004, Mr. LiCalsi held various positions at TD Waterhouse Investor Services, Inc. (currently TD Ameritrade, Inc.), including those of regional and national vice president. While at TD Waterhouse, Mr. LiCalsi held several securities brokerage licenses, including the Series 7, 9, 10, 63, and 66 and currently holds his series 7 and 24 licenses. Prior to his tenure in the financial services industry, Mr. LiCalsi graduated from Rutgers College, with a BA in History.

Mr. Lyle joined Gladstone in July of 2009. Prior to joining the Gladstone Companies, Mr. Lyle worked with The Carlyle Group accounting for a group of privately held domestic and international real estate funds from 2007 until 2009. He began his career with McGladrey and Pullen, LLP in 2005. Mr. Lyle received his BSBA in Accounting from West Virginia University.

Ms. Marotto joined Gladstone in March 2010 as an Investor Relations Assistant. Previously she was an Advertising Services Associate at Lucky Magazine in New York City where she aided in layout and marketing related activities. Ms. Marotto graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BPS in Fashion Merchandising from Marist College with a minor in Business and Advertising.

Mr. Massey has been a Managing Director since May 2004.

Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Massey was Vice President of Asset Management with Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel, a $6 billion pension fund advisor. Mr. Massey's responsibilities included asset management of approximately $450 million of Class A office and industrial properties with over 200 tenants located throughout the eastern half of the United States.

Formerly, Mr. Massey was President of a broadcast tower acquisitions company focused in US and Latin America. Prior, he was the Director of Business Development for two domestic & international cellular tower & in-building network companies.

Previously, Mr. Massey held acquisitions and asset management roles with other commercial real estate firms. Mr. Massey's responsibilities included coordination and evaluation of more than 40 nonperforming loan and REO portfolios, in addition to underwriting several hundred debt and equity investments valued at nearly $4 billion. Further, Mr. Massey was directly responsible for a portfolio of nonperforming loans and REO properties valued at approximately $100 million.

Mr. Massey began his career in consumer banking, where he was responsible for daily operations at a 3,000-member credit union. He received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Mr. Meier joined Gladstone as a Managing Director in March 2007. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Meier was a Vice President in Wells Fargo Foothill's Specialty Finance division. At Wells Fargo Foothill, Mr. Meier was responsible for originating and underwriting senior loans in the media and telecommunications sector. Mr. Meier joined Wells Fargo Foothill in 2004, at which time Wells Fargo Foothill purchased a portion of Westburg Media Capital's loan portfolio and hired most of the Westburg staff to target senior media loans of less than $10 million. From 1994-2000, Mr. Meier served as Vice President-Business Development Officer, in the Communications Finance Division at FINOVA Capital Corporation, where his primary responsibility was the origination of media loans of up to $250 million. From 1990-1994, he served as a Vice President in the Corporate Finance Group and the Media Business Division at Heller Financial Inc. In the Media Business Division, he had primary management responsibility for a diversified portfolio of senior loans. In addition, he was the Radio Team leader, which was responsible for managing Heller's radio loan portfolio. Mr. Meier began his banking and lending career at Continental National Bank in 1986. He served in a variety of roles including middle market corporate lending and loan workouts. Mr. Meier holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Western Illinois University, and attended Washington University in St. Louis.

Mr. Meyer joined Gladstone in November of 2009. Prior to joining Gladstone he was an asset manager at Real Estate Capital Partners in Northern Virginia where he was responsible for a diversified portfolio of investment properties across the United States. From 1999 to 2001 Mr. Meyer worked as a financial Analysts for Lockheed Martin providing analytical and program support for a number of government contracts. Mr. Meyer holds a Master of Business Administration from The Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola University in Baltimore, MD and a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston College.

Ms. Morrison joined our firm in October 2011. Prior to joining Gladstone, Ms. Morrison served as the Americas Corporate Controller for Tandberg, which was later purchased by Cisco Systems. Ms. Morrison has also worked for DynCorp and Ericsson in financial reporting manager and assistant controller roles and began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers working on attest engagements. Ms. Morrison is a CPA with the Commonwealth of Virginia and a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the College of William and Mary where she earned a BBA in Accounting. She is a member of the VSCPA and AICPA.

Ms. Novara has been Head of Resource Management since April 2004. Ms. Novara served as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources with the WMF Group and as a Consultant to Prudential Financial. From 1996 to 1997, Ms. Novara worked for TREEV a publicly held imaging software vendor. From 1992 to 1996, Ms. Novara worked for Environmental Products Corporation in their corporate Human Resources department. Ms. Novara is certified through SHRM as a PHR, holds an MA from Marymount University in Human Resources Management and a BA in Spanish and French from St. Mary's College of Notre Dame.

Ms. Plumer joined Gladstone in March 2008. Prior to joining Gladstone, she was a Title Agent with Old American Title in Sterling, Virginia. While there, she conducted all real estate closing transactions and disbursements. Prior to Old American Title, she worked as a Paralegal in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury, Insurance Defense, Foreclosure, Criminal, and Corporate Law at law firms located in Virginia to North Carolina. In 2001, Ms. Plumer earned her BS in Business Administration and Pre-Law with a Minor in Paralegal Studies from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is a Certified Paralegal, Licensed Title Insurance Agent, and a Virginia Notary Public.

Mr. Parrish joined Gladstone in August of 2008. His previous experience includes three years in public accounting, and three years abroad in Korea teaching English. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech, and he is a CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mr. Pendarvis joined the Gladstone Companies in 2011 as an Associate with the REIT group focused primarily on financial statement analysis, structuring, and new business development. Prior to joining Gladstone, he served as an Associate Vice President for The Buccini/Pollin Group’s Asia Pacific based, real estate private equity fund in Beijing, China. In this capacity, he was responsible for domestic oversight of business development, acquisition, and financing activities for numerous new and distressed hospitality projects. Edward joined BPG’s Washington DC based team in 2005, then aiding in a full range of underwriting, research, due diligence, and development activities. Mr. Pendarvis began his career as a consulting analyst with Accenture LLP and was primarily engaged on a Business Systems Modernization project with the Defense Logistics Agency helping design and implement, an SAP based finance and accounting solution. The DLA manages a supply chain network which handles $100+ billion in sales annually. Mr. Pendarvis holds a BS in Business Administration with a secondary major in Modern European History from the University of North Carolina and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His studies focused on economics, finance, and international business with additional programs of study at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is also proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

Mr. Pierce joined our firm in May 2004 from GE Commercial Finance where he was a Senior Vice President in the Global Sponsor Finance Group. While at GE, Mr. Pierce helped oversee a team of professionals that was responsible for sourcing senior debt opportunities from private equity sponsors in the Midwest. The team's portfolio consisted of approximately 75 accounts aggregating nearly $1.5 billion in commitments, and the team managed all aspects of the accounts, from the original underwriting through documentation and closing, and ongoing account management and administration, including the execution of workout strategies when necessary. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Pierce was Vice President with Heller Financial in Chicago, originating and underwriting transactions from private equity firms in the Midwest and on the West Coast. From 1985 through 1996, Mr. Pierce was with Bank of America in Chicago, and its predecessor, Continental Bank, in a variety of roles, including loan workouts, asset based lending, and leveraged finance. Mr. Pierce received his MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and an undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Mr. Roberts joined Gladstone in April of 2011 as a Senior Accountant. Prior to joining the Gladstone Companies, Mr. Roberts worked with a start-up global energy company in the financial reporting and technical accounting functions. Mr. Roberts began his career in corporate finance at a large pharmaceutical company. He holds a MBA from King College and a BS in Accounting from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.

Mr. Roushdy joined Gladstone in July 2011. Prior to joining Gladstone, he worked as an Analyst in the Consumer & Retail Investment Banking group at Wells Fargo Securities where he focused on debt and equity capital markets origination and advisory services to clients in the retail and restaurant sectors. Mr. Roushdy earned a BA in Economics from Davidson College in May 2008.

Ms. Sarr joined The Gladstone Companies in March 2011 as a Staff Accountant. Previously, she worked for CACI International, Inc. for over five years as a Division Staff Accountant. Ms. Sarr received a BA in Accounting from George Mason University.

Mr. Sateri has been with The Gladstone Companies since April 2007. He currently serves as Managing Director, Investment Management & Head of Portfolio Management in our McLean, VA Headquarters focusing on private business debt, equity, and real estate Portfolio Management. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Sateri directed an independent consultancy providing distressed debt valuation, CMBS securitization and loan sale advisory services to institutional investors, national advisory firms and government clients. From 1989 to 1998, Mr. Sateri worked for Wachovia Bank (predecessor/affiliated companies) in a variety of areas including credit risk management, special assets, commercial lending, and lastly capital markets where he served as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manger overseeing a team responsible for underwriting, servicing and managing an asset based loan portfolio with half a billion dollars in commitments to highly leveraged, growth oriented, middle market companies. He holds a master's degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Maryland at College Park and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The University of Hawaii at Manoa, and is a member of the Risk Management Association.

Ms. Simpson joined the firm as a Managing Director in early 2007 and focuses on evaluating new investments and planning for value creation after closing. Prior to joining Gladstone, Ms. Simpson worked for Morgenthaler Partners arranging debt financing for their leveraged buyouts. From 1999 to 2006, Ms. Simpson worked for National City Bank, most recently as Senior Vice President in Credit Administration, as well as a relationship manager for closely held and equity sponsor-owned middle market companies. Ms. Simpson served on active duty for four years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. She holds a MBA from Case Western Reserve University and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School.

Mrs. Simmers joined Gladstone as a Principal in July 2011. Prior to joining Gladstone, she was a Private Equity Principal at GenSpring Family Offices, a multi-family office with over $20 billion in assets under management. There she was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring minority equity investments and mezzanine financings to growth-oriented, small and middle market companies in a wide variety of industries, as well as allocating capital commitments to private equity funds. Prior to GenSpring, Mrs. Simmers was an Associate at Wachovia Securities, where she provided merger and acquisition, capital raising and advisory services for corporate clients and financial sponsors focused on the industrials sector. Mrs. Simmers earned a MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and a BBA from The College of William and Mary.

Mr. Stelljes is the President, Chief Investment Officer and a Director of The Gladstone Companies. Mr. Stelljes has extensive experience with debt investments in small and medium sized companies across the United States. At Gladstone, Mr. Stelljes is responsible for operational activities, directing marketing strategy, deal flow generation and underwriting.

Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Stelljes was a General Partner of Camden Partners and Cahill, Warnock & Company, later stage private equity funds, where he directed investments in communications and business services. Previously, Mr. Stelljes served as a Managing Director and Partner of Columbia Capital, a venture capital firm focused on investments in communications and information technology. From 1989 to 1997, Mr. Stelljes held various positions including Executive Vice President and Principal with Allied Capital Corporation and its affiliates.

Mr. Stelljes currently serves as a General Partner and Investment Committee Member of Patriot Capital, a private equity and mezzanine fund, is a Board Member of Intrepid Capital, a money management and mutual fund manager, and is an Advisory Board Member of FedCap Partners, a private equity fund focused on investments in government contractors. He is a former board member and regional president of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NASBIC). Mr. Stelljes received a MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Ms. Stewart joined Gladstone in January of 2011. Prior to Gladstone, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for over four years. She received a BA in Accounting from the University of Richmond and is a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mr. Tucker joined the firm as an Associate in May 2005. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Tucker provided management and strategic consulting services to early stage and start-up companies, as well as deal evaluation services for private equity investors. In 2003, he was Summer Associate at Liquid Realty Partners, a real estate private equity secondaries firm, where he was responsible for valuing portfolios of properties held by institutional sellers of limited partnership interests. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Tucker worked as an Associate for SG Capital Partners, a private equity and venture capital fund. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Tucker was an Analyst and Associate in Chase Securities' High Yield Finance group. Mr. Tucker earned his MBA with highest honors from the University of Michigan Business School as a member of the Beta Gamma Delta society and holds an BA in Psychology from Princeton University.

Mr. Vander Leeuw joined Gladstone in August 2010. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at BB&T Capital Markets | Windsor Group in Northern Virginia. While at BB&T, Mr. Vander Leeuw was primarily focused on providing Mergers & Acquisition advisory services to clients in the Defense and Government Services industry. Mr. Vander Leeuw earned a BSBA in Business Administration from Georgetown University.

Mr. Watson joined Gladstone as Chief Financial Officer of Gladstone Investment Corporation in January 2010. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was the Director of Portfolio Accounting for MCG Capital Corporation from 2007 to 2010. Mr. Watson was employed by Capital Advisory Services, LLC, which subsequently joined Navigant Consulting, Inc., where he held various positions providing finance and accounting consulting services from 2001 to 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Watson was an auditor at Deloitte and Touche. He received a MBA from the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business and a BS from Washington and Lee University, and is a CPA with the Commonwealth of Virginia.
